I Like the idea of people staying together but I think with a slight modification - how does a group of middle aged people (possibly even professionals in thier fields) find each other over the internet and decide to do something drastic and give up thier moderatley sucessfull lives and follow a childish dream of being in a rock band in the style of an iconic one from thier 20's like Alice Cooper or Kiss although none of them have ever played any instruments and they decide to move in together and make it happen - that way it could be one of those funny ones with a serious lining like people giving up the conventional lives for something that makes then feel alive - it could be thier journey from succesfull but boring lives to start again and becoming a rock band where failure is not an option and how they all help each other to success - might be good as it is something I see you doing and it gives you the insight as to what they would be dealing with as well as adding many variables that could be used for comedy and dramatic moments.
Take it or leave it - whatever you do it will rock I'm sure. seriously!!
