The court was correct to interpret the law in the manner in which they did. Certainly makes me wish that we had a way to direct these soon-to-be ex-inmates to the neighborhoods of the less than sharp legislators (I was going to say 'moronic' but that would be rude) who came up with the legislation that allows this to happen. This is definitely not the court's fault. The law was quite specific.
