I would pay for HULU if it allowed for al la carte progaming. I Hate paying 125.00 a month for cable I only watch 6-8 channels. That is how a cable system should be. Why but something you are not going to use???

I watch everything on Hulu (22 with new episodes and a total of 40 in my subscription list) and the 7 shows that aren't on Hulu I watch on FastPassTV. I also watch Fancast for a while, and we have our Netflix account that we watch on the computer and through xBox and we watch Hulu on the xBox through PlayOn.

We dumped our $100/month cable 6 months ago cause the only thing that we were keeping it for was Dexter, then we found that online so bye bye cable! It is so dumb that you can only record 2 shows at a time. This way we can watch what we want, when we want it and not miss anything! So I would be fine paying for Hulu as long as it is cheaper than cable/sat and I get a reduction of ads. I work from home so I watch most of my shows while I am working. Mulitasking baby!!

I'd like to applaud you, Corner1862, for pointing out the obvious. Yay free-thinkers! Right, Britt? Oh...wait...never mind.

I'd also like to say that I will drop Hulu in a hot second if they ever try to charge me for their service!! Their slow buffering, low quality shows are *not* worth paying for when other completely legal sites offer the same exact content. Besides we all know that if push came to shove that a good 75% of Hulu users would gladly just start using torrents again.

Hulu will be done. I have my regular TV, HD dowloads on itunes, and my trusty file sharing engine.

People just wont pay for low def, slow buffering tv.

Only way to pull this off is to get almost EVERY single major show onto hulu. As of now i just use it for Heroes, Family Guy and, The Office.

Oh, and when I resort to my file sharing engine, you won't even get money for your ads. Just a thought.

I would not pay. Hulu is pretty convienient, but it isn't the only show in town. I pay enough for TV already and have to deal with commercials. I should not have to pay to see reruns of the shows I miss.

Wow, how is it possible that half of the comments here have spelling errors? Way to build credibility, guys. Secondly, to the genius Britt Woods:

"Don't think for one moment that the people envolved in all aspects of television entertainment aren't more financially stable than the 10% of Americans unemployed."

Um, of course the people "envolved" in television entertainment are more financially stable than the 10% of unemployed Americans... THEY'RE EMPLOYED. That being said, anyone willing to pay money for the poor quality videos that Hulu provides would be an idiot.

If does Hulu starts to charge people. I'll just go to the channels website and watch the shows like i did before Hulu came along no big deal.

Hi guys.. PollDaddy will decide if I'm a winner or loser today and I need some help! :)

Can you visit my web address and vote for me (Kelsey) if you like my design? If you don't, you are of course free to vote for anyone. I'm just trying to win and thought I'd ask for some help. I'm quite a few votes behind. Thank you!

Looks like its back to torrents...

  • Britt Woods - 14 years ago

So ad money from the few commercials viewed doesn't make their profit margins wide enough. It was only a matter of time before it became about the money and not providing a free viewing opportunity to those who cannot afford cable.
    Kudos Hulu you sold out.
Thanks to the new digital era, no one can watch television without paying someone something. So the rich keep getting richer and the poor are S.O.L. Don't think for one moment that the people envolved in all aspects of television entertainment aren't more financially stable than the 10% of Americans unemployed.
    Yay Captalism!

I rarely watch TV and use Hulu to try and see what I am missing (not much except for stuff like the Office).

I have a DVR who's HD is at 37% most of that is stuff I find interesting and save it for my wife to see. I subscribe to more podcasts than I have pre-programmed recordings on my DVR.

I have Netflix and planning on getting a Roku box. This should assist with the missed TV shows.

    To Dylan Silverman:
You need to realized that TV is losing viewers because it's just constantly re-hashing the same thing. Shows like "My Named Is Earl" is cancelled to make space for 3 trama shows to try and capture the ER fans.

^^ Shut up!!! The land that you live on is stolen, and I bet you don't lose sleep about that. Zues forbid that someone get cable for free. People just amaze me more and more each day.

  • Dylan Silverman - 14 years ago

People need to realize that TV is a service and it can't be free forever. Stealing TV via torrents is disgusting. Most of those people wouldn't walk into a store and steal a DVD of the show. It's the same thing people.

  • NEPTUNESGHOST - 14 years ago

Hulu isn't good enough to charge, for one thing. Sure it is cool, but only because it is free. For another thing, I already pay a fortune to have TV at home (and it HAS FREEKIN COMMERCIALS!) Why would I pay more to have it on a tiny little computer screen, interupted by buffering and with limited resolution?

    Forget it Hulu.
