I wish we could combine the wit and intellect of Sarah Palin, Alan Keyes's voice pattern, with Mitt Romney's lucky sperm and offensively audacious neo-con beleifs, Mike Huckabee's me too-isms, Newt Gingrich's sacrifice principle for victory mantra, and Michelle Bachmans starry eyes whenever she talks about Jesus.

Ron Paul is the ONLY conservative.

  • Lock - 2 years ago

Dr. Paul is a very good man with good ideas. In this era of TV and you tube he is not electable. Charisma is the first requirement to attract enough big cities voters to win a national election.

Maybe a Dr. Paul for VP could work but am not sure who would be first on the ticket. Remember if we conservatives can not get behind one candidate taht is electable then we will continue to get Socialist, Fascist, Marxist, Maoist elected politicians.

  • MW - 2 years ago

Voted Dr. Paul. Funny to see a bunch of totalitarian liberals and statists who self-proclaim to be "conservative". I can't get a bunch of conservatives to agree on what that word means anyway.

  • Admiral Paultard - 2 years ago

Ron Paul would be a great president. He's in his 70's but not fat like Ted Kennedy. He would be a president to make Americans proud - something like Reagan but less inclined to compromise his principles. Let freedom ring!!!

  • BERNARD ANDREW ROLLINS - 2 years ago

RON PAUL IS THE ONLY CONSERVATIVE ON THE LIST. HE HAS THE BRAINS TO PULL US OUT OF THE 2 UNCONSTITIONAL OCCUPATIONS OVER OIL AND THE BALLS TO PROTECT U.S. CITIZENS FROM ANY REAL THREATS AND ITS OWN GOV'T. MORE SERVICE MEN AND WOMEN SUPPORTED RON PAUL IN 2008 THAN ANY OTHER CANDIDATE?!!! HE WOULD PULL VOTES FROM THE UPSET DEMS THAT STILL HAVE AN ONGOING WAR IN 2012 (THAT WAS PROMISED TO BE ENDED IN 2009) AND SUPPORT FROM ALL OF US 70HR WORK WEEK RIGHT WING EXTREMIST!!!!!

Many of you may be asking yourself..."Who the hell is Ron Paul?" Some of you may say, "Oh no...here come the Ron-Paul-Bots again". And then there will be those who say, "I should have followed my conscience and voted for Ron Paul".

For those of you who say the first, don't feel bad. Most of America was kept totally in the dark by the "controlled" media in the 2008 Presidential election - I started out that way, but that all changed on May 10, 2007.

While we were all being groomed by the major networks and newspapers to accept the candidates they put to the plate, one un-assuming baby doctor and 10-term congressman from Texas was debating whether or not to follow the urging of his close friends and confidants to throw his hat in the the fiery furnace - Ron Paul, the man with two first names.

That decision will go down in history as being a pivotal turning point in the direction of America. I don't want to spoil it for those of you who DON'T know who Ron Paul is - but I'll share a few facts with you - in the form of a "Political Quiz".

    1. Q: What three candidates, in the last quarter of 2007, raised the most money, and how much did they raise?
A: Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton, & Ron Paul ($20 million dollars each) - John McCain raised $10M.

    2. Q: Who raised more money from active and retired military personell than any other candidate (regardless of party)?
    A: Ron Paul.

    3. Q: Who dominated the internet for nearly a year straight?
    A: Ron Paul.

    4. Q: Who's campaign raised the most money over the internet in a 24 hour period?
A: Ron Paul, who raised over $4M in one day on November 5th. and $6.2M in one day on December 16th, the anniversary of the BOSTON TEA PARTY (thus cementing Ron Paul supporters as the modern-day revivalists of the tea party movement).

I could go on and on. But to close I'll say this. Ron Paul is my modern day hero. I love the man and his family (Google Rand Paul). He is the ONLY man I'd trust in the White House (except for maybe in son Rand - also a doctor). I propose we put Rand in the Senate in 2010 - see www.RandPaul2010.com; and then in 2012 we run a Paul-Paul ticket. Ron for president and Rand for vice-president. That will sooth those who say, "Ron Paul's too old".

And read Ron Paul's NY Times and Amazon Best-Seller, "End The Fed". Wake up, Wake up America.

  • FA Hayek - 2 years ago

Ron Paul in 2012 is literally the only hope our country has to return to greatness and limited government. Philosophically, everyone else on the list is a mental midget compared to Dr. Paul.

  • Mitt Romney - 2 years ago

luke at awl yu pawltardz, teehee dum peepolz voatin for ron pawl. wate til muh lawyers here dis. heaha!!!!!@#

  • Dwain - 2 years ago

Ron Paul is the only statesman on the list. Ron Paul is for the people not big government!

  • GunTrapTanDaddy - 2 years ago

RON PAUL SAVE US ALL!!! END THE FED, IRS, NEA, ETC, ETC. GET US OUT OF THE UN. STOP THE NAU. OUR COUNTRY IS DYING QUICKLY.

  • Baluga - 2 years ago

I grew up republican 100% pure blood, but they've ruined my party with endless wars, spending and exploding the size of government.

Ron Paul, there's no real other conservative on here, true to the nature of conservatives.

  • Matt - 2 years ago

Oh man this is a tough choice with all of these Rhinos, war mongers, career politicians and political hacks....yeah I think I'll go with Ron Paul -representing the people, the constitution and the chore values.

    Matt

  • elizabeth - 2 years ago

Well, it is obvious that Ron Paul is the leader of the Conservative movement and of the Republican party. Until the Republican party concedes defeat to Paul, they might as well put their tail between their legs and go home. Ron Paul/Palin might be a mighty team to pull out some success.

  • anderbilt - 2 years ago

this kind of poll is interesting but not scientific. take the data with a grain of salt people.

  • Mick Allard - 2 years ago

This poll is a no-brainer! Ron Paul is the only conservative on the list! All the other names on the list are NeoConservatives. I am not sure who did this poll, but whoever you are....you need to do a poll that asks, "Who would be the best NeoCon choice for POTUS in 2012?" ..would be much more accurate. If you do not know the difference between a Conservative and a NeoConservative, then google it and find out...You are making yourself look uninformed. Good Luck with your bad self. RP2012 = FREEDOM!

  • kevincannell - 2 years ago

As a Republican I would go for a Paul/Bachmann ticket. As crazy as it sounds, the winning ticket in 2012 must have Paul. Romney/Paul may work but I think that Romney killed his chances by stepping down in 2008. I like Palin and Huckabee but the Dems will not support them.

  • john taylor - 2 years ago

Ron Paul is the only true conservative. The rest are impostors. Unfortunately, most people are woefully uneducated about the history of their country and the Constitution and believe that Palin or Romney = conservative when they actually = the same old tired socialist/neocon/fascist policies of the past 100 years. In four years, most likely, voters will boot out Obama and replace him with another fake conservative like Reagan. If the people educate themselves, however, then perhaps we can have true change and the first decent president since 1897.

  • Jason - 2 years ago

Ron Paul. He is the only man that can save this country.

  • randy - 2 years ago

When all of the central planning methods fail time after time you would think Ron Paul would be the only choice. I'm not sure enough people understand Liberty and how important of a role that it is to a Republic.

  • Dave - 2 years ago

Why are talk show hosts like Limbaugh, Beck and ...ick, Hannity on this list??

Most of the rest are neo-cons too.

    Ron Paul...for the long haul

  • Nene - 2 years ago

I hope the 3% voting for Newt Gingrich will take time to watch this video. Good refresher on what Newt has done as a career politician

Ron Paul is the only choice for a true conservative, and he is also the only chance we have of preserving our nation.

Please spend some time and learn about the honorable Dr. Paul and his unswaying devotion to liberty and freedom.

  • huntress - 2 years ago

Since the question is who would be conservative, the only choice there is Ron Paul.

I beg of those who want to vote for someone else on the list, please read the Constitution and the Federalist Papers and please, go look up the definition of conservative.

    Thank you

  • Mike - 2 years ago

After rationalizing it away for years, I FINALLY realized the supposed "republicans/conservatives" the mainstream media feeds to us weren't serious about protecting our borders from illegals and then they ran up gigantic budget deficits. That's why I recently found out about Ron Paul and realized he is the only true conservative in the party.

  • sunny - 2 years ago

this is a no brainer. dr. ron paul is the ONLY true conservative among
    the other dastardly choices.

he is also the ONLY constitutionalist.
his record speaks for itself. his actions speak for themselves.

no one in congress - absolutely no one - can match his voting record.

he has never been bought by special interests and ALWAYS sticks to his principles. and has been the LONE vote in congress to vote no when EVERY other member votes yes on legislation if it does NOT adhere to the constitution.

you cannot say that of ANY other member of congress. there is NO ONE else who votes in that manner no matter what.

his philosophy since he entered congress in 1976 has been consistent and from the heart year after year.

he strives for liberty for everyone and knows that government
is the biggest threat to losing our liberties.

combine this with bringing ALL the troops home, NEVER voting to raise taxes, restoring sound money, doing away with government departments that should not exist such as the department of education, abolishing the IRS and the FED - and you indeed have a
    true conservative.

  • RonPaultosaveUS - 2 years ago

Ron Paul is the only Candidate there that's truly for the People and a Constitutionalist.

  • Nick - 2 years ago

Anyone who is so pro government that they support domestic spying and wiretapping(FISA, PATRIOT ACT) is not a conservative. Anyone who bought the Iraq war propaganda from a guy who clearly didnt care about Terrorism in George W Bush(Open borders=doesnt give a shit about terrorism) isnt fit to be President.

  • Jesse - 2 years ago

If we want a real conservative in the sense that he values the Law first, then I suppose there is only one choice. Go 12on!

  • Jason - 2 years ago

Ron Paul is the most conservative without a doubt. Candidates like Romney, Huckabee, and Gingrich are all elitist RINOS...they are no better than Democrats. Palin has the eye of the media, but is not seasoned enough for president.

  • Richard - 2 years ago

Ron Paul is the only Candidate there that's truly for the People and a Constitutionalist.

  • Lauren - 2 years ago

Sarah Palin would be a disastrous choice at this point. I like her and I think she's a great conservative, but I am afraid we also need to be thinking about who can beat Barack Obama at this point, and I don't think she's strong enough. I would like to see her in 2020. I go for Mike Huckabee. He's an advocate for tax reform, a strong national defense, and liberty. He's our guy!

  • Linda Picard - 2 years ago

Looks pretty much like same old stuff hashed over to me...

  • Jim - 2 years ago

The question was who would be a good "Conservative" candidate - not a good "Republican" or "Moderate" candidate (like Gingrich and Romney).

  • Greg - 2 years ago

I would like to see a Palin/Jindal or a Palin/Bachmann ticket. I used to like Gingrich, but he cooked his goose with me by backing a liberal in New York just because he's Republican. As we've seen with some of the votes in the House and Senate lately, being Republican don't necessarily mean they are Conservative.

  • Dan - 2 years ago

This asks for best "CONSERVATIVE", not "REPUBLICAN". Don't understand the votes for people like Romney and Gingrich based on this fundamental term that is being emphasized.
