If a ghost story is a work of fiction, it should be told as such. I enjoy any ghost story that is told as being true. Some ghost stories are only urban legend or folk lore, but if the person telling the story believes it, that is good enough for me. It’s all in good fun.
it does matter whether or a ghost story is true as paranormal researchers are about providing the truth but a hoax puts alot of doubt amongst skeptics and makes it paranormal teams look bad
