I don't know if I agree with you, Craig. I think the goaltenders in 2006-07 had numbers that were propped up by the strong team playing in front of them. Reekie was a fantastic No. 2, and I think your argument there is valid. But I thought Irving was better in 05-06 than 06-07, and for me that tips the scales.

The season of Irving/Reekie goaltending was the best, in my opinion... until Coach Constantine decided that Irving was automatically the team's #1 goaltender rather than having it be a competition being two solid contenders... Reekie had been the CHL Goaltender of the Week (I believe the only one the Silvertips have ever had win that honor) and had more momentum in the second half of that season. With two possible #1 goaltenders, a competition for who had the hot hand entering the playoffs would have made both players, and especially the team, much stronger. Yet another reason, one of several in my opinion, for why that season ended so miserably.

For argument's sake, I'm going off the board and saying I think Everett's best goaltending came during the 2005-06 season, when Leland Irving and Matt Esposito were the goaltenders. However, since Irving started something like 66 of the 72 games that season, it's a stretch to call them a tandem.
