Comment to blue skies in Fl. You complain about license plates but your ok with having a lawyer friend that promotes a fivilous suit to hide child abuse and neglect? Then you all try to set an innocent person up so no one knows the truth? Do you understand that your family cost this county thousands of upon thousands of dollars in resources in false accusations so you could cover for your sisters adultery and your participation in allowing children to turn to crime?and your wondering why NY is so shot in economics? Ethics. Just like you have, so maybe increased license plate fees are because people like you who are ok if you recieve floridia sun or benefit in exchange. The county needs decent people willing to stand up to immoral county residents and gov. I'm still waiting for a simple apology and honestly. Maybe the county can change. You are the key. Im not asking much considering what you did to me and my children. DAVID a victim of Oneida County Ethics

As usual the powers that be always preach in the name of safety.
I could NEVER live in Florida. No mountains, no hills. Little changing of the seasons. We have such a large variety of terrain in this state from the Adirondacks to Niagra Falls to Long Island to Lake Ontario, Finger Lakes, etc.

I with ya, I moved back from Florida after 14 years and since ive been back have been doing nothing but go in my back pocket from one thing to another.Blue Bags, School tax, local tax, garbage tax, property tax....blah blah blah blah. This place is one of the highest taxed and lowest paid so in saying that I will be leaving this place again shortly.I would understand in paying for what you get, but what do you get? I lived 1/4 mile down the street from a crystal blue ocean with no snow.....thats getting something in return and its CHEAPER! What is the selling point for staying here i have no eartly idea. This place died of old age a long long long time ago.

I remember that when the state first went to the new white plates, one of the reasons was for safety. The yellow plates did not reflect at night as well as a white plate would. Things must have changed!

I feel that rather than keep taxing those of us trying to work all the hours we can to cover the deficit our government needs to investigate and cut benifits for those draining the system. Several people on welfare don't need to be And I work and can't get medical ins. this country is messed up

And just why do we need to replace the current 9-year old plates? We got 14 years each out of the last two issues and we're not anywhere near close to using up all the possible letter/number combinations on the present plates. The justifications seem really lame -- how many unregistered vehicles do we REALLY have? What safety considerations?
It's just another con job by the state. Save the expense of reissuing plates, and all the change-over hassle. If California can get away without a general re-issue of plates since 1963 (their plates stay with the car, not with the registrant), we can do the same.

Remember folks, they(politicians) are supposed to work for us, not the other way around. Remember too, we don't have to wait for election day to fire them. I wonder who the liberal wonder team will tax when those of us that actually work for a living, & think for ourselves, leave this dead state.

This is so ridiculous.... Lets see raise taxes every year make it harder for everyone to cope...
I can honestly tell you that the city Rochester charges left and right and I agree it is time to leave as every college Graduate from this area

We moved out of NYS in 2007 to Florida, had to come back in late 2008 and have had regrets ever since coming back to this state. I have one foot out of here now...if NYS keeps this up I am heading back to Florida. I do not see anything good about living here....and being FORCED to buy new plates...give me a break. And NYS is scratching it's head wondering why residents move!!! Are they really that blind??

This state is the worse. When are we going to get some people in office who can run this state like a business? We really need new license plates? Why doesn't the state just ask us for the routing numbers on our checking account and they can help themselves, like they are doing anyway. I can't wait for two more years to come, then I am out of here.
