Not one of these candidates should have 200 votes go up in 10 minutes. That is not votes by hand. I think the station will watch voting tonight and the jumps made.

I agree with Me Myself and I. Rob is a great person, and he is someone you can look up to. He is a representative on the GHS student council, a star athlete (recently named "Most Likely to be on ESPN"), and he doesn't stop there. Most "popular" or "cool" kids tend to slack off in class or think they are too "cool" to step up and do a good thing. Rob isn't that way. He continues to good in the classroom, and he isn't afraid to do the right thing. Regardless of the winner, both seem to be good people, and you can't go wrong. Congrats to all for even making to this point.

Taylor Harmon has done outstanding. He puts all he has into everything he does. If you vote for him its probably the best choice you've made this week. It was mine. (:
Me Myself and I - 2 years ago
I think each of the young men nominated must be outstanding young men. The G'ville votes have jumped because we have spread the word among the fans. Our Rob Wright is an great role model, excellent student, and outstanding athelete. He gets my vote! Also, in reference to the stacking... you can vote only once, it's my understanding the computer generated votes are limited to one vote per address.

i agree with john cause they both have the same number of votes so if one is cheating the other is to...i dont think either one is but im just saying..i thinl both community are votes their butts off!!
John - 2 years ago
Can everyone just stop saying that TN High and Gville are cheating. TN High isn't cheating even though they had an early monster lead. And for Gville, well their QB has been up for 2 online player of week awards, both of which their community has rallied to win for the kid. They have the whole school voting from what I hear. Best of luck to both
Chris - 2 years ago
This needs to be checked on and I agree there is no way this many votes can be manually logged without some sort of "cheating" involved! Wow, I saw 400 votes within a matter of 40 minutes and seems each time I refreshed my ccmputer there were astronomical numbers logged for the kid from Greenville. This is sad for each competitor to be cheated by votes that are illegally obtained. Taylor, no matter what happens, you all played a fine season and soundly beat each one of these teams, except West Greene and Unicoi, and those teams weren't on the schedule. I wish each player and teams the very best in all future endeavors and may God find a way into your lives and guide you His way!

There is absolutely no way the Greenville votes came in that fast because I was also watching it. It is jumping 200+ in just minutes.
Taylor, we are all proud of you and the rest of the guys that have worked so hard. You will do great in whatever you have ahead for you.
I am glad you and your supporters take the high road. Thanks to all of the THS students/alumni and friends that supported the Vikings this year.

The Greeneville kid's votes just jumped AGAIN 230 votes in LESS THAN 10 MINUTES!!!
Aundrea - 2 years ago
You are right, the one from Greenville's votes are jumping as computer generated. There is no way you jump 200 votes like it is doing in a ten minute span.
Vol fan - 2 years ago
Wow, Jeff from East.....you say Taylors votes were "stacked"..Look at the votes within the last 24 hours for the Greeville kid...and tell me who's votes are stacked....4,000 votes in 24 hours...come on!
Von - 2 years ago
I agree they are all great candidates. Have watched Gavin, Taylor, etc. and they are outstanding student/athletes.
I am not quite sure though how one of the other candidates has jumped from 300 votes on Sunday to over 2500 in one day. I hope it was not computer generated.

Whomever wins this award, remember it is only a award and after all is said and done, no one will even remember the winner or those in the running. The main thing is that ALL of these fine young men are great people and represented their respective High Schools well enough to be nominated. I hope all go on to pursue their endeavors and some will and allot won't continue their football/athletic careers. We all are so lucky to live with such wonderful people, fine families and supporters, alumni and the many people that work with these fine young men, coaching them and teaching to be leaders both on and off the field. I remember my High School football career and the things instilled by so many wonderful people whom dedicate their time and many hours away from their familes to coach and teach us to be leaders. So all in all, job well done Taylor, Gavin, Rob, and the rest of these fine young men. Just remember after award ceremonies, banquets, and finally graduation, as you move on through life, God has blessed each of you with the oportunity to represent your High school. Do not take anything for granted, you are fine young men! May God bless you all....again job well done!

They are all great guys and no one should
get on a blog and think otherwise.
Some of these teams played longer than others
and alot of the fans just found out.
Have fun guys with the college life you have
ahead.
Good luck to all of you.

gavin should win this! i also know him personally and i love that kid to death!:) and i know that i dont know any of these other football players but i do know that gavin would never stoop so low enough to stack votes...

Taylor seems to be the kind of young man who "always takes the high road." What a shame some of the people who've voted chose not to...go Taylor. You have my vote!
Devon - 2 years ago
Andy Turner Deserves this completetly! He's gave his all for his team and community on and off the field!
Michael - 2 years ago
I don't believe there is any vote stacking here. I know several of these young men personally. Gavin Walker is an outstanding young man, athlete, student and christian. Taylor Harmon is an outstanding athlete and is going to go very far in football. Andy Turner is a fine christian young man and athlete. I wish they could all get the award because they all deserve it. As for the others they wouldn't be nominated for the award if they didn't deserve it.
Cueball - 2 years ago
Amen, Chris you took the words out of my mouth. You didn't even mention Taylor has a extended family and a very loving family at that. I am a brother from another mother and Cueball says that. Now Jeff go get your scientific calculator out and go figure in another forum.
Chris Dover - 2 years ago
To say the "votes are stacked" sounds like a sore looser, something Taylor Harmon knows nothing about. I have personally known this fine young man for years and if anyone deserves this award FAIR AND SQUARE it is Taylor. Why get ugly about something when it is true for this young man carries himself as a leader both on and off the field. His character is commendable and also his Christian leadership is one of no other. So in short, don't say that our votes are "stacked", this is a discredit to a fine athelete, Christian, scholar and a true leader! The majority of us were unalble to be online as you should know "jeff", because we were watching a THS playoff game, and in my case, watching UT play!
Taylor Harmon is loved and admired by countless people. To say the votes have been stacked is rediculous. This kid has been known all over this area for a long time The voting could be from a lot of people from other schools, not just Tennessee High. Not to mention they played friday night and everyone found out about this.
Aundrea B. - 2 years ago
We just voted for Taylor over the weekend also. Actually last night. I think you need to remember the THS ballgame was Friday night. And if you look at all of the voting several numbers moved up.
Thanks Vikings for a wonderful season - 11 - 1!
Sam S. - 2 years ago
Taylor Harmon is a very well rounded student/athlete.
I don't know of any stacking votes because alot of us THS alum just found out about the voting and voted over the weekend when we attended the THS game.
Thank you Taylor and THS Vikings for a great year.
Jeff - 2 years ago
I have been watching the vote of this Witten scholar athlete. I do believe someone is stacking the votes. I just sit back and watched yesterday as the votes just all of a sudden grew for the Harmon kid. Now I am sure he is a great player and student but stacking the vote isn't fair to everyone else. The thing is that he probably had nothing to do with it. I noticed the East kid was gaining before all these sudden votes appeared (over 1,000 of them). I know there is a big rivarly between East and Tennessee High. It is ashamed someone would stoop so low.
Beverly Booher Fanning - 2 years ago
Taylor Harmon gives 100% on and off of the football field. With his leadership ability and great attitude, he is respected by his teachers, coaches and peers.
Taylor is very deserving of this award.
Congratulations Taylor on your senior year.

Gavin is a wonderful person, I have never seen him act nothing but friendly and nice to other people... and i hope that he gets this award because i think he has earned it not only in his football skillz but in his grades and in the theater .... GO PATRIOTS!!!!!!
emely - 2 years ago
i have known gavin since i was in 6th grade and hes a good guy to be around and joke around with and talk to classes with and i think he deserves the scollership cus hes such a good person
We have known Gavin for years and he is outstanding. I don't know how anyone who knew him could hedge on giving him this award. His appeal is due mostly to his character and personal humility. Gavin has excellent grades and a love of learning. Hhe is a people person who exemplifies the type of individual that will represent the Witten Scholars with dignity and grace. He has a heart for his fellow man, empathy and kindness. We hope he becomes the representative not only for our community but for the stature of the program. What a remarkable young athlete, empathetic young man, and a tribute to his family.
Taylor Harmon | Tennessee High Vikings 45%
