    This poll is a joke. My current Emacs session has buffers in over 20 modes, so whatever answer I give to your poll is a lie.

    I am more than just a Perl programmer or web developer, and there are at least 6 more checkboxes I could have checked.

    I don't know about other editors, but EditPlus allows users to create their own definition files and upload them for others to use. While you should perhaps stick to a default set automatically included, any additional can be downloaded by the user if they need them. I guess this poll is an attempt to shortlist the default set of definition files, in which case my selected 5 are the 5 I think should be default :)
