Stud of the Week?

• UCF basketball team (Knights beat Auburn for school-first win over an SEC opponent. Wow, they had been 0-27 all-time against SEC foes.)

• Ricky Williams (With Ronnie Brown out for the season, Williams ran for 119 yds and 3 TDs in win over Panthers. Hasn't run this good since trying to make last call at Turkish hash house.)

• UCF defense (Knights yield only 50 yards of total offense in 49-0 victory over Tulane. UCF might not be among Florida's Big 3, but defense is second-best in state.)

• Jacory Harris (Even with injured thumb, Miami quarterback throws for 348 yards, 2 TDs against Duke. Best part: Only one interception.)

• Dwight Howard and Stan Van Gundy (Two Magicians met like men and made something positive out of Van Gundy's negativity. Magic haven't lost since heart-to-heart talk.)

• John Brantley (UF backup quarterback came into the game and threw three TDs in rout of FIU. Could it be UF's offense will not cease to exist without Tebow?)

• B.J. Daniels (USF freshman was best QB in state Saturday, throwing for 304 yards and running for 141 in victory over Louisville. Matt who?)

• Mickey Andrews (FSU's longtime defensive coordinator gets carried off the field in last home game against Maryland. Too bad one of greatest assistants in history couldn't go out with better season.)

• Mike Sims-Walker (UCF and Edgewater High product catches winning TD in Jags' last-minute victory over Bills. Sims-Walker and Maurice Jones-Drew are 2 great players with 4 last names.)

• Jimmie Johnson (His personality may be bland, but there's nothing boring about four straight NASCAR championships.)
