I am sure under the leadership of Ratan , the TATA teams can deliver as said earlier. He is one of the best CEO, who really does for India.

It is Ratan who started seeing customer needs from the perspective of
mass market . The results are there to see....Ace , Nano & sure new water purifier for mass consumption.

Can we look for some more such innovations in TV/airconditioners/ solar cells/ electric cars/ Education systems from TCS for govt schools/ lo cost medical equipments etc.

I am sure under the leadership of Ratan , the TATA teams can deliver ....

    Best wishes.

Lets make the discussion elementary. Do you come to the conclusion of who the best CEO is by determining how much money has he made, taken his groups to unprecedented heights or their personal qualities. Well there are no true yardsticks of who is the best, just perceptions. Someone who has brought his business from the brink to success cannot be compared to someone who has consistently performed. A career CEO cannot be compared to a Promoter CEO.

There was a similar exercise done by Fortune this year. And guess who turned up Steve Jobs. And why? The answer was elementary and simple. His tenure at Apple saw him changing almost 4 industries (music, movies, mobile and computing)

If we apply the same yardstick to our CEO's who comes up? Well to be frank and at the cost of sounding blasphemous, No One!

But coming back to the Indian context, we should talk about visionaries, and the names which pop up are Ratan Tata and Mukesh Ambani. I guess if we have the same poll next decade one can safely say that Mukesh Ambani would come up tops by and far ( though as pointed by a fellow commenter he would score low on ethics).

But for now My vote is for Ratan Tata.

I can say much about Mr. TATA. But, I consider him as best employer, and a person best at heart, who thought of NANO for all.

Vikram Pandit's performance is exemplary in an extremely hostile environment. He sacrifised his personal pay package. Yet I voted for Tata who achieved in a corrupt environment being in media and telecom and still doing an excellent job.

I think we need to acknowledge a person who is an ordinary in normal sense and extraordinary in Business Manage\emnt sense.Tat\s have be at the helm of affairs and are known.Ethics is another aspect, here Amabnis socre low .
Anaand Mahindar is a true leader from every angle and I would always stand for him.He is letting the best out of all employees ,partners and assiciates.
Well done , Mr. Anand Mahindra.
