Should the family of an 8-year-old boy suspended for drawing an image of a crucifix seek legal action against the Taunton School Department?

i believe there is more to this story, the school denies the allegations from the father, something else must have happened, no way they would suspend for something they know would be an issue, they would have to be idiots to do so, and i believe there would have been 1 voice of reason at that school to deter such action, perhaps alternative ideas by the parents to increase their wallet size, if anything educators are aware of the scrutiny surrounding them, most are mandated, and have have evidence to back their decisions, and do not have to make public to newspapers until, the verdict is in

Talk about your grinch who stole Christmas. The school VIOLATED his most sacred civil right. 1st Amendent: Congress shall make no law prohibiting the free exercise of religion. Free speech! The kid is aloud to say Jesus when ever & where ever he pleases. It's not THE GOVERNMENT who can regulate such a thing, plus there already are bylaws against religious discrimination. The school either showed their profound ignorance or their profound hate, racism, discrimination & lack of tolerance & diversity. for religion, truth & morality.
