Although Afghanistan is a cesspool where folks with a Muslim heritage like to grow drugs, trade illegal goods and arms, engage in family feuds, and do crap to each other that the civilized word considers abhorrent, they are sitting on a gold-mine of untold mineral wealth. These folks need to be fenced in and left to their own devices, without being able to hurt the outside world.
