Why are the Marines set on disrupting the delicate balance of the world?

They just don't care, they want Whitebeard and Ace dead.

They want the power to fully tip into their favor.

If they have to kill Whitebeard and Ace to stop the next Pirate King from appearing than they'll risk throwing the world into chaos.

Maybe...just MAYBE the Marines are the actual badguys in One Piece! O_O
