Considering a few things.
1. The Canucks get about 70 percent of the calls in their favour.
2. The Canucks are known as divers in the league.
3. If Auger is investigated for this, then where does it stop. I think they would be obligated to investigate Burrows dive and injury fake in December. How do you punish Burrows for that?
Bottom line their are players in the NHL who dive and fake inuries all the time, in hopes of getting the call. As stated above the Canucks usually finish on top when it comes to amount of Power Plays per game. Its only a matter of time before the refs start to fight back. I have no problem with Auger's actions the other night. Burrows should have sucked it up, take his lumps and move on. As a result, the league conducted as I suspected a 20 second investigation into the incident which consisted of a phone call to Auger nd his subsequent denial. Done.
