I don't knit or wear mohair because it is too fluffy for my liking. I am rather keen on 'grainy' looking yarn but can't find it anywhere. My dislike of mohair also stems from the fact that when I first started knitting (more years ago than I care to admit), mohair yarn was the standard fare on offer and all I was knitting with. I am now heartily bored of the stuff and would love to discover other types of yarn that don't have so many fluffy bits protruding from it. It also feels rather warm and uncomfortable as a scarf of jumper. When I want to knit something toasty then I do like to knit with Alpaca yarn or even Baby Alpaca, lovely stuff!
