Interesting comment Guardian of the Poll. How do you tamper with an online poll? Isn't it just a free for all? None of these "miracles" are going to happen. It would be ridiculous to think otherwise.

Beware! Pharyngula is tampering with this poll. They are known poll fornicators! PZ is notorius for fornicating polls and trolls.

Actually, TCW, most people do not see miracles for what they are, because miracles do not happen. When you see something, and call it a miracle, you're usually happy leaving it at that. However, the rest of us will look at the "miracle", analyze what really happened, and come up with a LOGICAL conclusion. I capitalized that word for you since it's one you're not familiar with. I'll give you a second to go look it up.

If you weren't so openly ignorant when it comes to uncovering truths, and so closed minded in your beliefs, you'd realize that with a little leg work and "miracle" can be revealed for what it truly is.

You should probably give up on PZ though. People often step out of the darkness of theism into the light of reason, but it's pretty rare for the opposite to occur.

Miracles are tricky things. Most people see them for what they actually are, but the select few that the miracle that you might be trying to get done aren't going to get it. Only those that are touched by the light of Christ or have the Holy Ghost already in their lives are going to see the miracle for that it truly is. Instead of praying that a celeb. is converted, you should pray that small miracles will touch the lives of countless people. Far more effective that way. These small miracles start lives toward Christ in countless individuals, not just one or two. While you are at it....pray for yourselves. Seems that the people in charge of this website are in sore need of miracles themselves and are busy scheduling what God should be doing in his Heaven, instead of getting your own house in order for the second coming.
By the way, why does someone being an 'unbeliever' someone who has made other 'christians' mad because he supports stem-cell research, or a Muslim make them less desirable for our prayers? Shouldn't they be top on your list? Remember the pharisees? Where they Jesus' friends? Did he particularly enjoy them? No, their false piety did not please him at all. You might just want to think about that. Would you be in the temple, or one that Jesus cast out? I'm thinking you would be on the outside looking in.

I'm pretty sure the sun-Mary thing is the only one that would definitively be a miracle; most of the others could be explained by other means, even healed paralysis. (Ever check out whywontgodhealamputees.com ? It's a good question — why is there a kind of "miracle" that's too miraculous to occur?)

Now, my interpretation of the sun one is that, starting tomorrow, every person to stare at the sun, despite their religious affiliation, would have a vision of Mary. And they wouldn't be blinded by it, either. I would convert if that happened.
