Clinician Poll: What was your reaction to the ADA’s official endorsement of hemoglobin A1c as an option for diagnosing diabetes?

1) Yawn. I’ve been using it for years. What took so long?

2) Hooray! Finally I don’t have to make my patients fast or drink yucky liquid.

3) Boo. I don’t trust A1c to accurately identify the target population. I’m sticking with glucose criteria.
