I'm excited about this class. Although I have a facebook account I need to learn more about social media and social networking. I'm sure through this class I will understand the difference between what a blog is as apposed to a wall post on facebook or a tweet.
I have a Facebook page where I blog with friends, family and associates. My Facebook is strictly a social site; soon I will focus it more on the business I'm developing. I have a LinkedIn page, but blogging on that and my LinkedIn contact pages is strictly for business networking.

I enjoy reading blogs on topics that are interesting to me. I am open to new ideas but don't like blogs where people just comment on what they ate, etc. :-)
the only experience i have with blogs is reading them. have never thought about starting one.
