Danielle Bean, a mother of eight, is web editor of Faith & Family Live! and senior editor of Faith & Family magazine. She is author of My Cup of Tea: Musings of a Catholic Mom (Pauline 2005) and Mom to Mom, Day to Day: Advice and Support for Catholic Living (Pauline 2007). Though she once struggled to separate her life and her work, the two have now become so perfectly entangled that she embraces the joyful jumble. She writes what she lives: marriage, motherhood, homemaking, and humor.
I also think there are times when you have to answer. There's nothing wrong with saying, "Excuse me, please, I better get this."

We have caller ID. I would pickup if it was my DH or my kids school. At this time I would also pick up if it was my mom as she is out of state taking care of my aunt for 8 weeks during a stem cell transplant so she calls when she has a chance. I think "just let it GO!" is not always a good thing. Kids sick at school, at a playdate, at grandparents, DH husband calling from work. We should be able to decide if it is nessesary to answer or not.
