I vote for Gene Simmons. He would be a valid replacement for Simon, IMHO.
Howard Stern wouldn't be in good taste for this show. I'd be willing to bet my college fund that he won't be on the judging panel next season, but as flip-flop as FOX is, who really knows? Personally, I can't stand Stern, and wouldn't be too flattered with him being a judge on the show.
And Dan, aren't you doing the same thing cheryl did by calling her a 'judgmental piece of shit?' She has the right to her opinion, granted she did take it pretty far with her calling-out on on his low points.
Actually, I'd love to see Howard in this role. I a not a Howard Stern fan, but it would be nice to get someone who would tell it like it is....not like Simon....but, who will tell someone who is talentless that they were "okay". Let's face it...mediocre talents like Kris Allen would not be put through and that is needed. BTW, how is Kris' album selling? Rickey hasn't posted an update--which means that it's prob still sinking.

I am a huge fan of Amer. Idol. I have watched every season. If Howard Stearn becomes a judge, I will never watch again. That is the most disgusting human being I have ever heard or seen. The humiliation he puts on anyone and everyone is horrible, including his wife and family(or should I say ex-wife.) Why anyone would marry such a disgusting pig is beyond me. Nothing was private. They are looking for someone as mean as Simon. they do need that with annoying, get-over-your-lame-self Kara the suck-up, boring Randy and nice Ellen. Not sure he is the right fit, but he will get folks to watch. So if that is what they are looking for, ratings--they should hire him. Think of the publicity. I'd bet he would quit after one season though.
