No. I think if Naruto knew what kind of pain it would cause him, he would have wanted to avoid it. He just wants to be accepted and he was never given a choice before.

Maybe, but only if it was the only way of protecting those around him or if he knew it would save those he cares for. It's a difficult burden to bear, but he would do it rather than let someone else.
