How do you view the act of prayer?

• Prayer involves detaching oneself from the world and your surroundings

• Prayer is fluid and spontaneous, occuring while doing other things

• Prayer is subjective, individual to the person, and you've got to find your own "style" and way

• Prayer is more of an engaging of oneself--with God, with His perspective

• There are common elements of prayer that are common to all people--these elements can be taught, modeled and learned by anyone

• Not sure, the question makes my head hurt

• Prayer should be quiet, eyes closed, with no distractions
