Would you give up desktop apps and use the cloud instead?

• Sure, I'd much rather store my personal information with Google, Microsoft and Apple than on my own hard drive.

• No way, I'd much rather use my crash-prone, guaranteed-to-die hard drive than Microsoft, Google and Apple's redundant, secure servers.

• Already doing it. Now if I could just remember all my passwords, I might actually be able to access my files.

• Not until mobile and web apps can do everything that desktop versions can do. And where's the web-based version of Wordstar?

• Work in the cloud? Last I heard, if you do something wrong they freeze you in carbonite. No thanks!
