just one comment about the douchebag who said "only 40k people showed up to the halloween show"....let's pull your head out of the bong and straw out of your nose you hillbilly....let's take a gander at the average age of the current phish phan.....about 33-36. what do you think they all have in common? KIDS you fecking loser. when was the indio show....HALLOWEEN. next question...what do you think you have to do on halloween when you have KIDS? i'll bet the first thing scratched off the list is a trip to indio to eat pharmies and listen to a filthy slave. anyone putting stock into the indio shows and the turnout simply needs to take that extra xanax and just put themselves down. let's see phish drop a 3 night lineup in san diego and see what happens to that town....or berkely (hmmmm...), or san fran....or the gorge in washington....or that shitty place called VEGAS that IS west coast. maybe they couldn't sell out 4 in a row.....they'd probably need 5 or 6 to accomodate.
you fecking east coast bastards that continually bash the west.....eat more pills and forget the setlist before you leave the show cause you ate too much molly and the Xanax wipped your brain clean.....awesome.....you rule.

I live in the Great Northwest and wouldn't relocate unless absolutely necessary.
I am a long time fan of Phish and would love to see them in the Northwest more often.
I do not have the time or resources to do Phish tour like I did 16 years ago.
Here are some stats that clearly indicate that the west is neglected IMO.

It is a bummer that Phish does not play on the west-coast more frequently, however, I would rather see less Phish than to live on the east-coast and be surrounded by a bunch of Bens.

In regards to the east coaster's opinion on the west coast phish scene, it isn't a backlash aginst phish, just look at how quick the Greek shows sold out and look how many tickets are still available for the east coast shows. What many people from the east don't realize is that you guys COMPLAIN TOO DAMN MUCH !! It is a drag when you have to listen to all of the B.S. about how phish plays better when they're on the east coast by some douche who just wants to be heard by anyone within an earshot. I lived in New England for years, been lucky enough to have seen some amazing shows over the past 17 years, but one thing that has always stood out about the North East especially is that you guys rarely have anything positve to say about anywhere outside of the N.E. bubble, yet you also complain about living in N.Y., Boston, Phili, etc. Just relax already, there is not a competion for who is the most faithful phan base. We don't have to prove anything to the east. And you don't have to keep trying to impress us with how hardcore you are. All we ask is that when you come to the west for phish tour, leave the negative bullshit back east, have a great time WITH ALL OF US TOGETHER celebrating something that is special and dear to us all.

East coast AND West coast can suck it. Try living in IOWA. With 10 kids. And working 60-70 hours a week. And being a longtime, hardcore phan.
THEN you can complain!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

hey west coasters,
get over it! you live in dead/sci country. i lived on the west coast, and it drove me crazy. i love the dead, but jesus, jerry died 15 years ago; move on! then there are the highly opiated sci fans.... these people are something.
let me be clear here, i am not slamming dead heads... love them, but these dead heads don't always dig the ways of phish, for whatever reason. there just is not a big phish following out west; in fact, there is a phish back lash of sorts. look at indio. how many people were there? were there even 40,000. how many of those people flew in from east of the mississippi. the midwest can pack that into alpine valley on any given fri/sat/sun. that's even after playing shows at deer creek and other places east of the mississippi. now look at festies like it, coventry, lemonwheel, etc. the east coast packs 65k+ into these shows. why would they do a whole hell of a lot out there? now, i do feel you should have gotten one "big venue show," but you will get yours in the fall. good luck with greek tix; i'll see you at telluride!
