    Maren,
That's the way it sometimes goes for us too, but we're working on perfecting our approach! Post to come soon! :-) Thanks for sharing

I try to meal plan, but don't always end up doing a great job. Sometimes when I do well planning and buying what I need, unexpected things come up and I don't end up making all of the meals -- occasionally things go to waste or aren't at their prime.... Generally I think it's a good idea though, and I mostly do.

I live a blaock and a half from a grocery store so i don't really need to plan meals. If i'm having people over for dinner then i definitely plan ahead, verify the menu with everyone(that usually means i say "if you don't like it too bad, eat somewhere else" lol) Other than that, I make a half assed attempt at menu planning; if i'm in the store buying chicken i might see spaghetti and say hey that would be good on thursday i better get beef for meatballs, salad, etc....but i might not make it til saturday

I have learned that meal planning can save a lot of money and get rid of the stress of wondering whats for dinner that night. I honestly don't do it every week but I do try to when Im writing my list. I would like to jut stop being lazy and just make it a part of my weekly/biweekly trips to the store. I'm sure it saves time in the store as well, and can help people focus on having a more healthier meal. Good poll!
