Can a born-again believer lose salvation?

Okay, now that the silly poll company is recognizing me -- here goes again.

    Hey Jedidah,
You're right. People want to believe their salvation is a result -- to some extent -- of their good works. But our salvation is only because of God's Work -- His work on the cross. Hallelujah. Amen.
    Thanks, Carley

    Matthew 7:21-23
"Not everyone who says to Me, 'Lord, Lord,' shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. "Many will say to Me in that day, 'Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?' "And then I will declare to them, 'I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!' - [NKJV]

And yet so many want to bring it down to works, just as the Corinthians did. Who do you love?

Dave, thank you. I agree; Satan uses the idea that we can lose our salvation against us! To God be the glory for His great gift of salvation.

That is a good poll. It runs through all the options; some of which Satan can use to cyphon hope from believers. We can't earn our salvation, it is a gift we don't deserve. Furthermore, even though God is sovereign to choose His elect, once the gift of Salvation is given, it will never be taken away! Praise God.
