A is film.
B shows harsher contrast and the gradations on the handle in the foreground as well as the floor on the background are not as smooth as A.
Also B shows on the handle level a clean cut between plane of sharpness and background typical behaviour on Digital cameras.
My guess is A is a Portra film behaviour.

Hmm, I have to disagree with Deo.. I see a lot of shadow details in picture A, compare to B, so i'd go with A..
Been shooting film for quite some time now. The output is distinguishable albeit harder for those not accustomed to it. I'm surprised about the output of the M9. I guessed B and hope I'm right. Good exercise for your countless readers Steve. Cheers!
