The Tiki Tiki is the place to share stories about growing up Latino in the United States -- and passing on cultura to future generations.
You will see yourself in the Tiki Tiki because, like you, we were born into families who know what an ñ sounds like and that all good parties, no matter the size, require pushing back the furniture to dance the evening away.
Que viva la cultura.
I was born in Havana, Cuba. my maternal granfather emmigrated to Cuba from Tenerife, Palmas de Gran Canaria at age 16, not ever returning to his homeland and family. My paternal grandparents were Spaniard and French, raised in Pinar del Rio. Growing up in Cuba was not fun after the 70's, therefore my parents, sister and I moved to Madrid, Spain and lived there till 1974.
