I totally agree with Al, it's a 100% rip off (On The Inside) Al must be paid !
It is his melody- a very haunting melody- and he created that melody!
I'm sure Sony can afford it!

As a music business professional I could not disagree more with this one comment by J. Harris. Songs, like books are what's called intellectual property, and the belong to the individual(s) who created them. Living here in the States and having worked with the Band Alabama, I can guarantee that if the shoe were on the other foot Randy Owen and Teddy Gentry et al. would be suing Alan Caswell until they won. This is a clear case of copyright infringement, and it needs to be rectified. Music really is a business, and a livelihood for many. A job means you are paid for your work.

Allan, There are massive similarities between the two songs, but, surely, due to the huge success of Prisoner worldwide, you should have been amply rewarded for your song. I really think, as life is too short to bicker about cash, you should feel flattered that your song, that took 45 minutes to compose, has been re-viatalised in such a nice way, if you live in Dixie that is! Just sit back and feel pleased that your skills are so highly regarded!
