It's a little more nuanced than most stories are making it out. I believe that shield laws should protect journalists, and I think that bloggers are (or can be) journalists. That said, if a journalist *themselves* does something illegal, that's not what shield laws are designed to protect. And that's what the issue here *may* be... and what the evidence on the computers may or may not confirm.
Not saying that Chen should face criminal liability for anything here, just that most stories are painting this as a black and white issue, and I think it's pure grey.
