IE: Quit dissing shit and have fun with it. Sadly, a lot of shit out there is a popularity contest. When it comes to art, Good is all a matter of opinion. thanx alex! i didnt mean to diss you before i just confused you with aaron. i like your work but i think aaron is the next closest to my style of drawing is all. i always said i appreciated the time it took people to do these things and to put themselves out there to be judged. i know the work involved and i'm proud of my work too. i believe this contest must have ended now.they're prob. just leaving it up while they work out what theyre gonna do about this whole thing. thanx everyone again for looking at ALL the pieces.

SaraCara is right: all the artists here should feel good we made it here in the first place, and I really don't get some of the temperamental comments. The system for whose drawing is ultimately selected is imperfect, but at least the good Kaufman sisters made it a lot more democratic and inclusive than it could've been. As far as the contest not ending yet, I'm sure these girls are hella busy (they mentioned it was finals week in one of the other posts). Cut them some slack and recognize how great it was that they opened this up to us in the first place. I'm not gonna win this thing by any means, but I can only be grateful and proud that I was a part of it (dammit, I knew I should've resubmitted with a colored version!). 'Sides, I know my drawing is not the best one here.
Personally, I think Dan's drawing rules (despite him withdrawing his shout-out to me!). I looked at it close up and was amazed at all the detail and the style of it. Awesome job, Dan. Stay cool, y'all.

if some of the top ones win i think alot of actual TROMA fans will be upset- Maybe not the kids that go to your high-school or your teachers or parents or neighbors im sure they will be proud of you but what about people that actually like troma ? the art should speak for itself and be based upon that.... I think evry one tried hard photoshop or not i do not see people submitting work that they are not proud of. And if you do care about the quality of work troma would publish people should of sent out links to the actual art displayed and not just to a page with your name on it. And if people actually believe there art is good that wouldn't of been a problem i would feel ashamed if i won an art contest without people looking at and enjoying everyones art regardless of how bad you want it or how hard you tried i think we would of seen a vary different outcome and i think deep down most of the top rated artists here know that-

Okay, so everyone has their own opinions. That's something respectable, but anyone who's voting should act like an adult. This is severely important, because arguing over the internet is like being in the Special Olympics. Even if you win, you're still retarded. Sorry, but it's true. (I'm an equal hater, fuck everybody including myself.) I voted for Mr. Scheckler's piece because the theme is fun, and in contrast to his other artwork, this one's full color and really gives detail. Yeah you can see some marker strokes, but avoiding the highlighter effect unless you're in a digital program is FRICKING HARD! well i was looking at the votes and i refreshed and the top three all got more votes within a minute. either these people really have that much fans, or this contest is fucked. shooting the kids is a fucking joke... troma born is good but isnt as good as all of his friends think... troma vs evil has a decent lloyd as counter girl in poultrgeist but the demons are very plain...
i say if i had to pick between the three id pick troma is born, but his friends are fucking annoying so i would tally my vote for troma vs evil. the only friend he has saying things is ryan who seems to actually like his buddies work without making up a false story of how amazing and hard he works.

troma is born is not even that nice, neither are the other two in the lead. those comments all seem like they are from fake people or maybe made by the artist himself. it looks like troma vs evil was hand drawn and then edited in photoshop which still takes a long time with layering and whatnot so i dont see how someone would complain and say how easy it is to do. they all have a different style and look. the stick figure one is cute. it reminds me of a retarded abused orphan who likes to draw little stick men forming oral sex on eachother to remind him of the evil things that his counselors do to him during snack time. troma vs evil is cool in a cartoon version of troma and i like the "toxies got no moxie" sign. i do like that born has class of nukem high in it. my favorite one is the one with lloyd as a baby with the penis monster. if i had to pick of the ones that are in the top spot though, i would say troma vs evil. it is not however the best out of the contest.

I know Dan very well, and he put so much time and effort into this piece that I will be disappointed if he doesn't win. I am an Art Director and work all day on a computer. I could have designed most of these pieces of art in various Adobe programs with very little effort. Not to say they aren't cool, but Dan's is all hand drawn. No fancy filters or gradients. This work came straight from his fingertips and deserves to win this competition. Dan you are the man. Keep on rockin! Vote for Dan Halen! Keep on drawing! Vote for Von Scheckler!

hey guys! i drew Troma is born, which i actually named the righteous and the wicked. i am so amazed at how many people came out of the woodwork and pulled favors. i worked 10-9 today and haven't been able to track the progress. thank you all so much my friends, acquaintances, friends of friends and strangers who voted. i would have never guessed i'd be so blessed by your kindness. art is my passion and i labored like a mother fucker over this piece and did my best to pr my work to be seen weeks ago leading up to now even. for those who don't like it, that's ok. for those who diss me, you just hide behind crappy third rate work and decent photoshop skills. no one put the detail and thought into building the composition that i did. do i deserve to win? that's not up to me. do i think i worked the hardest? i think my piece speaks for itself. if i don't win, i hope alex faber does.much love to troma for putting this on and ANYONE who looked at the art/artists. - the doctor, Dr.S

i emailed the website asking to moniter the votes to see huge change in vote patterns. and to chris craves, when i ggot like 12 or something votes within a small amount of time it was from my brothers computer class who all have seen my drawings and did like the one that had the most votes of mine. they all voted for it just to clarify why i had iffy voting patterns for a moment.
yeah this has basically become a popularity contest and it is shitty but thats usually how these kind of contests end up. lloyd and his daughters should have picked their favorites and the picked one at random. as long as people are being honest i will be happy with the result of the contest so good luck to you people who are still in it to win it...

someone is a little upset...
i have a decent amount of friends if that are backing me up and helping. i guess having friends who like your artwork is cheating so im sorry about that.
im not trying to be rude i just dont think its all that fair to say im cheating and yeah i have alot of votes i didnt even expect to get this much. i do however think its awesome because im not some fancy artist or work for the washington post and have been getting paid to send people pictures. and i do think it came out cool so im sorry you do not enjoy my cartoon.
