I really think the only actress from those girls that could play lisbeth is kristen stewart. She's perfect for the rule.

If you have watched Hard Candy and read Larsson's work, it is IMPOSSIBLE to not imagine Salander as Ellen Page.

A lot of people will overlook her for this role because they've only seen her in Juno. Her best work I believe is in dark thrillers like Hard Candy and The Tracy Fragments.

The physical fit is the closest Fincher will get from any established actress. She is at the perfect age (and looks much younger), flat chested and boy like.

I would love to see Fincher work with her. She is destined for great things regardless of this role.

while I was reading the books, Ellen Page was how I imagined Lisbeth Looking, she has got the grit for the part she was amazing in Hard Candy, but they'll probably cast Kristen Stewart though because she is Hollywoods latest " it girl" I heard rumors that she is already in talks for the part. Ellen Page would bring Lisbeth Salander to a whole new level, she has the experience, the intensity and the ka-hunas to make Lisbeth come alive.

Ellen Page would nail this. Just look at her performance in Hard Candy. Stewart is fluff Ellen would bring the role to life, but maybe that is asking too much of Hollywood.

Definatly Ellen Page for this role. She looks Childlike and definatly is capable of the acting. She can be a believable young girl going through the harrowing things this book deals with a believable face and body type, and acting skills most of all. Kristen Stewert does not have the evil in her eyes that is needed for this part. She is still rising to her stardom now, and does not have the experience that ellen page does. Steig Larsson is not here to make this decision which is unfortunate, but lets give this character the intensity she needs.here is a link for ellen pages bio and io think that it gives the facts that ellen page is right for this part. On eof her personal quotes "I don't care if people like my character. I just want them to think about the movie's message." and one of her trademarks as quoted from the site below "Crosses her arms together with shrugged shoulders, whether standing or sitting. Frequently plays girls far younger than her own age." These are the qualities and experience needed for such a part.

please dont just choose kristen stewert because she is in twilight. Choose experience and quality in the actress to portray this part. This is a part that will be scrutinized by everyone who has read this book which is far over 7.2 million in the US alone. Look at the facts.

I read all 3 books, and I think it must be Rachel Leigh Cook. It was scary how her face came into view when I was reading the books.

I really think it's THE role for Kristen Stewart!
    Because...
1)the character is an androginous bisexual ^^
2)and is supposed to have an expressionless face(and we know KStew do it very well sometimes...-no offence guys)
    3) KS has approximatly the same age and physical description from the book-supposed to look like a teenage boy
4)the character is a young female victim with a very difficult past who takes control and gets hard revenge from abusive and old dirty/crazy men-very physically sometimes and we know KStew will love it!!
5)it's a very strong and independant female role-model-and->same as 4)

So, KStew, I know it's another Hollywood trilogy and all, but.... think about it please... ;)
