What can Markham do to improve individual health for our residents?

Build safe and connected sidewalks, cycling lanes and paths
Promote growing food in neighbourhoods (backyard and community gardens)
Continued investment in sports facilities and programs
Provide cooking, nutrition and healthy lifestyle education
Partner with York Region and other groups to provide greater access to services

Congratulations on Markham's Green initiative! We enjoyed the biking routes this morning in the Greensborough area. Just heard about the new Markham East Community Centre being build...looking forward to using it. At Swan Lake we are growing our own vegatables amidst our flowers. Many Swan Lakers help to keep our Swan Park clean and we appreciate the service people who work diligently to maintain the park. Keep up the good work and we support your efforts 100%.
