I was a U S Navy Advisor in Viet Nam serving in the Delta, IV Corps for those who didn't serve there. Based on my experience, you want as much of the population as possible to be either on your side or at least neutral. The objective is to marginalize the enemy, not to help him recruit.

Did anyone see David Horowicz at USDC? If you haven't, check it out on YouTube. These are not radicals..this is mainstream belief and the fact that we, as Americans, have to be concerned about DEATH for drawing a picture of someone, regardless of its intentions or content, is outrageous. Everything is provoking to Islam. They aren't exactly known for their sense of humor. I say freedom of speech means if they can cry for our heads, we can pick up a pencil. Aren't WE actually being the diplomatic ones here rather than calling for THEIR heads? The pen is mightier than the sword and this is proof of that.

Implying we do things to get them riled up falls in line with justifying 9/11. What did we do THEN to deserve death and destruction. The sooner people learn how Islam truly works, the faster they will wake up and see what a danger it is, just as people that follow Hitler are. We wouldn't exactly be saying "don't provoke them", now would we?
