I like that version, people say they're lives pass before their eyes before the y die and looks like that was happening and everyone has their own personal demons to deal with. Best to get them cleared away and put to rest before moving on !

I've now just finished every season of Lost for the fourth time, not because I have nothing better to do but because I have a seriously Ill daughter who is bed ridden and she lives to watch it. I feel, in my opinion only, that each character is seeing their lives flash before them in somewhat slow motion, Like I having a look at your past life , what the present could of been and what the future could be. All not really aware they were putting the puzzle pieces to there lives together , all finding THEIR ways until they finally come to terms with how they lived they're lives , and eventually embrace their deaths. I have to keep it just that simple for my simple mind. But I loved the show because I grew to love all the characters.
In fact I'm going to miss all these actors working together. My daughter, who has had three near death experiences keeps it even more simple,
MAYBE GOD IS JUST GIVING THEM ALL A CHANCE TO BE WHO THEY NEED TO BE BEFORE THEY PASS OVER .
