As a former Blogger, I'd say the most important thing is that you do what inspires and interests you so that you keep posting. Change it up so it doesn't feel like another job. I really like your photography postings, too.

What you do with the nail polish swatches is awesome! I love all the different nail polish brands you swatch. If you can do the same with make-up and cosmetics then I say , "go for it!"
As a man who doesn't use cosmetics, (LOL) why should I object to the knowledge you have to share with the ladies on your web site on cosmetics? I don't and believe you will create a larger audience of woman who may never have seen or used certain make-up collections and you would provide swatches so they can learn about the pros and cons of such cosmetics.
