LEE DESERVED TO WIN. JUST BECAUSE OTHER PEOPLE ON IDOL HAD SOME TYPE OF DRAMATIC PROBLEM DOESNT MAKE LEE A BAD SINGER. MAYBE LEE HAD A PROBLEM BUT KEPT IT A SECRET INSTEAD OF SHOUTING OUT HEY MY BOYFRIEND BROKE UP WITH ME, OR HEY MY MOM OR DAD PASSED AWAY, OR I AM GOING TO BE A DAD! Oh please "K"...that's your opinion and you know what they say about opinions...! As far as pity votes...every story behind every Idol contestant was a sad kinda story. Lee is a lowly paint salesman, Crystal is a mom, Casey James almost died from an accident, Mike's baby was born while competing, etc, etc... all the contestants either had a deceased parent or sibling, or some type of drama/trauma in their life. It's the way the producers get us to watch the show by highlighting the sad stories behind each contestant. You have to have an artistic ear to hear the Joplin/Etheridge/Pink/Raitt vocals coming from Crystal. That type of vocal talent is scarce. The Lee's are a dime-a-dozen and all over the planet waiting for their big break. It's the rarity of someone like Crystal that makes her talent shine. Lee will get lost in the vast ocean of same-sounding clones in the music biz.
I would even venture to say that "K" was born in the 80's or later. Am I right?

Lee deserved to win. He was my favorite from the begining. Crystal had to sing her words loud to sound good and her voice gave me a headache. I liked her before but over time she got annoying and it was in bad taste on her part when she was trying to get pity votes ("my son" etc). It's American Idol not American Mommy..., give me a break. I felt the same way about Mike! When all is said and done I have only one thing to say...., There are obviously more Lee fans in this country and that is why he won. Let me spell it out for all you dummies out there........, More people like LEE! Get over it!
