Laura gets Bill to concede her point when he says "no one (in the Obama administration) is handling it well". From a debate standpoint that is "Game, Set, Match, Laura"

  • Bindare - 14 years ago

Hank, you hit the problem right on the nose. O'Rielly tries very hard to appear fair and in doing so he cuts Obama way too much slack. Obama is a disaster as a President and the Gulf states are suffering the most right now because of it. O'Rielly should stick to the truth and let the chips fall where they belong.
And what is with the big debate about whether Obama is angry enough? Who cares about how angry he is! As Laura said we only want him too show some leadership. Instead he is too busy trying to blame everybody else for his own incompetence.

I find it hard to understand that with all the informational resources Bill has at his disposal he consistently comes across as naive at best or ignorant at worst. Many of his positions politically fly in the face of reality. When a poll showing 92 percent in opposition to his position with Laura, he has to take notice, it will remain to be seen just how much.

This was unfair, Laura......Bill is obviously having a hard time decerning right from wrong...black and white, stem from stern .....up from down...EGAD, Everything! Or, is he not sure of his own convictions anymore? ( And what are they, he's so wishy washy lately.)
    Where is our boy Bill?
Is he starting to look after the "other" folks? (You know, the New World of DISORDER People.)

You made the spot bearable by your reaction to his insane response. Pointing to the Kool-aide.......hope you were the antidote.

When O'Rielly interviewed Bush during the 2004 election, he looked as if he was snarling at him during the interview. And after the interview, at some point, he referred to Bush as the "cocky" President.

However, when O'Rielly interviewed Obama, he appeared to be a "Groupie", enthralled by his mere presence. Now, the "Closet Lefty" is really letting go!

I completely agree with Laura's approach. If I understand her position correctly she's suggesting that the government establish a think tank (composed of the best engineers and scientist available) to review proposals, summit ideas and assure the necessary resources are made available in sufficient quantities to achieve a positive outcome in a timely manner. Her advocacy and common sense approach on this issue far exceeds any other that I've heard. Additionally,Obama does need to review and replace many of his cabinet appointments, I feel they do represent a giant "train wreck". If they were in private industry they would have been replaced after a very short period of time. And finally, as far as debating capability is concerned, Laura is certainly the last person any body would want to come up against with an opposing political view. Bill O'Reilly didn't stand a chance.

Laura. You were wonderful and right on. I'm sick of Obama and his continuous campaigning. Treating the American people like idiots. Bashing America and acting like Hollywood Joe. Why people voted for this man I'll never know. People better wake up and SOON before this administration completely destroys our GREAT COUNTRY. Thanks for all you do for us.

Laura. He took a stupid position on Napolitano and tried to demagogue his way out of it. Unwilling to admit he blew it. Typical O'Reilly.

Hands down - Laura won this debate! Bill has been WAY too easy on Obama and his administration. Maybe he thinks more Dems will watch if he does that? It is a bore to us and makes us wonder if he is being honest - we know he is a conservative - but with his support of Obama - what's up with that?? We are spending billions going through security at the airports and our borders are wide open for anyone from anywhere!! Why aren't the commentators OUTRAGED over this??? We should be screaming from rooftops!!! I am also SO sick of Obama's love of 'Bashing America' by anyone and everyone - allowing the Mexican President to do it at the applause of the Dems and now Paul McCartney!!!! He is a friggin singer from another country!!!! I am sure GWB can read better than McCartney and for sure, Laura Bush, the lady with class, could probably teach McCartney a few words!!! I, on the other hand, have a FEW words for McCartney!!! This should NOT be allowed and especially in the White House!!! I could go on and on but I do not have a show - thank you Laura, Glenn and Hannity for informing the public of what is going on!!

I love O'reilly and watch him every night. But in the interest of trying to be "fair" he is going too far lately. I kept yelling "you are correct Laura". She nailed it.

I knew that I had been watching The Factor less and less, and watching it very little lately. But after reading the comments here, now I know why that is happening. Both The Factor and On the Record (Van Sustern) are less interesting than they used to be. Juan Williams is my least favorite guest because he is so predictable. On the other hand, Hanity's show and Beck's show are much better shows in my humble opinion. No one yet has mentioned Karl Rove, but I find him to be very informative when he guests on the shows.

  • Reilly - 14 years ago

Laura won hands down, she is a firm conservative and I agree with her and get irritated sometimes at O'Reilly.
However, he is more a "moderate" and I'm all for tolerating O'Reilly's shortcomings if it is a plus in attracting more dems and independents away from the state run media, which seems to be happening.

O'Rielly has to be losing some of his audience. I used to be an ardent viewer. Over the past year, it is obvious to me that O'Rielly is favoring Obama. Maybe he wants another ilnterview, i don't know? Perhaps he is a closet liberal, I don't know? With the likes of the professor who defends a cop-killer (can't recall the name) and the defense of Obama and his co-horts, it seems O'Rielly goes overboard to protect the libs. I hardly watch him anymore, only when I find he has a guest I like.

  • BARBBF - 14 years ago

I DO THINK BILL HAS BEEN DRINKING THE KOOL-AID FOR MONTHS AND MONTHS. It seems to me he has been sucking up to Obama way, way too often. I've gotten to the point where I only watch his program..when he has a guest on.

As usual Laura is right on point. O'reily is totally outmatched and doesn't have a chance against her.

  • gfmucci - 14 years ago

Bill is becoming irrelevant and sounding more ignorant on every show. Laura rocks!

  • Carolyn - 14 years ago

Laura you did an OUTSTANDING job, what has happened to Bill???????
    Maybe he needs a vacation.
I watch most of the factor, but the 3 people I never miss are: LAURA, DENNIS,AND GLENN BECK,
they are on top of this so called government, and Bill and following behind. Is he afraid of the FCC??????
Laura, thanks for your great radio show, you are the person we need in office.

Good for you --Laura, However it has to be fixed by BP---we have no one that can address this problem with any brains. Obama is all for show and everyone is seeing it know.

His whole Admin should be thrown out including him while we still have a country.
He should be impeached for not closing the border since the CIA and other intelligence
knows that terrorists are coming in thru the border. He is putting all of us in danger to
Votes from the hispanics. I was a die hard Dem but am changing to independent.
The Reps need to change their "cheap labor" mentality. When you add up what it cost
to let them stay, their is no Bargain or "CHEAP LABOR"

  • Jim - 14 years ago

The shock to me is there were 45+ people who watched that video and voted "Unsure/No Opinion"...... That's scary!!!

  • Bob Read - 14 years ago

Hands down winner ! The program opening shreek -"Power etc"- is out of character and demeans your image.I love you anyway.

  • Thomas Roshetar - 14 years ago

Laura (and many, many others) know a lot more than Bill on EVERY subject. Most nights I watch the Factor like I watch a baseball game - it is on in the background and I pay attention when something interesting happens. With Bill, something interesting means someone other than Bill explaining the situation. The man must have an amazing staff, because when left with his own thoughts he is like Obama with a teleprompter malfunction.

  • Mchael O'Sullivan - 14 years ago

Laura gave it to Bill on this one. She obviously knows a lot more than he does on this issue and is on top of the situation.

Note to Bill: You will always lose when you attempt to "phone it in."
