GAZA BLOCKADE: I think that Isreal should be able to do what they can, to reduce weapons into neighbors they are at war with. What do you think the U.S. CHINA, or RUSSIA would do?

iSREAL HAS EVERY RIGHT TO PROTECT ITSELF IN ANY REASONABLE MANNER. iSREAL HAS BEEN TRYING TO TRADE LAND FOR PEACE FOR YEARS TO NO AVAIL, THIER EVERY CONCESSION HAS BEEN TAKEN ADVANTAGE OF AND THE KILLING GOES ON.

Yes, i agree that any country has its own right to protect their land. However, Israel originally does not has land. It actually occupies the land of Palestine. So, Palestininan citizen has their right to return back their own land. From my perspective, this will be in the near future. I hope this will happen around 2020. I hear something about that from one palestinian researchers who is intersted to study the history of Israel.

Israel has no right to attack ships, or the continuation of Tierras Comunitarias de Origen on Gaza, Israel is a country occupying the strip of land, a recalcitrant State terrorist ... .. it is doing what the Nazis did to them. It's time for the world to say to Israel ... Enough is enough support for them .. . It's criminal, terrorist state. soldiers killed .... we have to support and raise the Gaza siege

I also agree with Jhn Doe. Israel's survival depends on preventing missiles, mortars, guns, ammunition etc from ending up in the hands of Hamas and Hizbullah, both proxies of Iran. Syria and Lebanon both act as intermediaries to do Iran's work to destroy Israel--in fact, that is their oft stated goal. The "Freedom Flotilla" which is anything but, was given the opportunity to deliver their "humanitarian" aid to Ashkelon Port to be inspected for contraband, and then to be sent to Hamas--excuse me, the Gaza Strip but the leaders of the flotilla declined. So much for them just wanting to deliver aid to the poor Palestinians--even though Israel sends thousands of tons of aid to the Strip every week! It is clear to this writer that sending "aid packages" was not in the least important to the "Freedom Flotilla"--All they really wanted was to break the Gaza blockade, the purpose of which is simply to prevent arms from getting to Gaza to rain down more missiles on innocent Israeli citizens and children in neighborhoods and schools inside Israel, which they have been doing since the 2nd intifada which began years ago. One must remember that Israel handed over control of the Strip several years ago, after bulldozing down the homes, synagogues and the rest of the buildings of the Jews who lived there for many years. What did they get for their humanitarian gesture? Missiles fired by the thousands into Israel towns and cities. The PLO which ruled Gaza before the residents of the Strip voted in the bloodthirsty Hamas, a US recognized terrorist entity after Arafat's death. The idea was for Israel and many other countries who gave the Gazans billions of dollars to turn the Strip into a paradise and envy of the entire Muslim world. What happened to all that money? It was used to buy arms, build smuggling tunnels from Egypt to transport the arms into Gaza. I find it interesting that on the very same day that the "Rachel Corrie" ship was due to try to to run the blockade--that Hamas violently shut down any NGO (non-governmental organizations) that did not tow the Hamas line, taking everything that was in the NGO's offices--file cabinets, computers, everything they could steal. They told the workers in the NGO's they were permanently shut down. The NGO's were representing women's rights, children's rights, the advancement of education. None of this was reported by any mainstream media outlet that I could find in the US. I had to go to jpost (dot) com to see what was happening. Coincidence that this happened while the world was concentrating on the "Freedom Flotilla's" attempt to break the embargo? I don't believe in coincidences, do you? Why nothing about this from the mainstream media in the US? Nothing from CNN, ABC, Yahoo News, etc. Personally I am outraged by the deafening silence.

I agree with Jhn Doe! Un-like our government, the Government of Israel takes the security of their Nation very seriously. No country has the right to tell them any thing different! God bless Israel.

Not only does Israel have the right, but also an obligation to do WHATEVER is necessary to protect their country and its citizens.
