I'm absolutely shocked that 33% think adultery should be a criminal offense! Who are these neanderthals? This is a moral issue, not a criminal one. We don't need our tax dollars wasted on stupid criminal prosecutions, plus possible incareration, on this sort of thing. Any prosecutor who would seriously think of prosecuting such a case should be hounded out of office.

I think the government is in our lives enough and just goes to show you how stupid New York is. This is between God and the lady not government. What else could you expect from a place who would allow a Mosque at ground zero.
Not the government's concern. The Church has failed America over the past couple of generations. America and the rest of the World.

It's tempting to say yes. But, in reality, marriage is a civil "contract" and the breach of a civil contract is not a criminal act. I believe the mistake lies in 'no fault' divorce. A cheating spouse should definitely be penalized and forced to pay more in the context of a divorce, as such adultery breaches the marriage contract.
