Will Garden State Equality, New Jersey's gay advocacy organization, be a more significant political force in 2011 than the Tea Party?

I would say that given two political parties, the one with an actual, specific purpose will yield more influence. Just what are the Tea-Partier's goals, other than expressing general dissatisfaction with...well, everything, as loudly as possible, with a side dish of steaming hot racism? I've yet to hear a cogent explanation of the party platform...it's pretty obvious they chose something vaguely patriotic like "Tea Partiers" as their epithet because they don't really know what they stand for. Unless it's taxation without repre - oh wait, they have representation. They were just outvoted this time around. Well, "Tea Party" sounds better than "Give us our guns and no more taxes and we want his birth certificate and if you don't like it learn English and also we dislike gays and brown people." (Also, much easier to fit on merchandise.)

The intelligence gene seems to accompany the gay gene. The gay community may be odd but they are intelligent ...while the the majority of the tea baggers tend to be idiots.
