A lot of my works tend to be more character-driven than anything else, so I usually am stealing bits of characters from everywhere. A certain "feel" of a character, a clever breaking of stereotype, an archetype... Things like that are usually what get my creative juices going. Plots usually come from what those characters would do in the situations I put them in.
