I have eliminated ATM fees at any ATM by using etrade. Saves me hundreds per year.

The reason that the fees and expenses for retirement plans doesn't win by a landslide is because most people have no idea how much they are paying. You can see your ATM charges on your bank statement. You have to pay up front for the human help on a help desk. Do you ever see the fees and expenses on your 401k quarterly statement? No!!... and that is just the way they like it. They like fleecing their sheep without them even knowing they have been fleeced!

How can you people not be voting for the retirement plan expenses - that is a huge bite to your ultimate retirement and you have little, if any, control.
