I would put Betty White on the panel of judges as she has so much experience in the theater and films and would be a personality who would attract viewers to the show and inspire high standards in the cast. I think Cheryl and Anna might also make excellent judges as they have been on the cast and have performed fairly well.
People forget that while Sarah Ferguson was a spokesman for Weight Watchers, she also successfully performed a trapeze act which takes courage, skill, and determination. As a Duchess in the Royal Family, she probably has formal training and experience in ballroom dancing specifically and should be paired with somebody who has very little or no experience. The same is true for names such as Janet Jackson, Jennifer Lopez, Vanessa Williams and John Travolta. These are contestants who if considered, must be paired with people with little or no experience. Vanessa Williamis, John Travolta, and Jennifer Lopez have been featured in movies about ballroom dancing so they come in as professional stars as does Sarah Ferguson who has been somewhat of a diplomat. Politicians who are current active in the three branches of government may be interesting candidates but do not currently have the time it takes to concentrate their energies on the next season, although they may be future candidates. I'd like to see Debbie Allen, Lori Singer, and Erica Gimbel on Dancing with the Stars, paired with novices of course.
I don't want this to become a rehab show or soap opera and i don't want the cast to detract from the dancing itself though.
