If you eat horse meat do the world a favor and kill yourself.

This is horrible. There is no reason good enough in this world to kill horses. Just because other countries do this does not mean we should. Whats next cats , dogs. I will die , I will starve to death before I would eat a horse. I saw how slaughter house kills them how bad the horse are treated and abuse. Some are very sick and should be put down with a shot vets uses when they put down are dogs and cats, Not hung up with the back leg and tortured to the death. This is sick and heartbreaking.

Horses are not bred and born to be butchered. Their meat is so contaminated by drugs and supplements that Europe is passing regulations to try to keep drugs out of the systems of slaughter bound horses. Untold numbers of slaughtered horses have to suffer horribly as they endure low end auctions, long hauls with no food or water, crowded feedlots and painful deaths. If I treated my own horses in this manner, I would be arrested, fined & maybe put in prison!
This is absurd. You are bowing to extremists who have nothing but money in their horse hating brains for an excuse to eat Horse meat. Horses are not raised for meat in this country. These people are hoping the wild horses in Long Term Holding will be declared 'excess' and allowed to be sold for slaughter or destroyed. If they are to be destroyed these folks would love to profit from it. BLM has stolen our wild herds which are fast disappearing. They have no accurate figures and no science. Look at what a lack of science has done to the Gulf. DOI and BLM are destroying our natural world and have no intentions of changing to a science based decision making process which is what the GAO has wanted them to do for decades. And they cannot police themselves. We are living an extension of the Bush/Cheney years because Obama has failed to 'clean house' at Interior Department and Salazar is not anything new. We need the President to walk up and get this country back on a real mission to become the best it can be. Not the lowest horse eating level it has been sad to expose to our families. mar

Hey- I don't know how it happened but I put the cursor over "NO, never could I eat horsemeat"and clicked it, and it counted my vote as a yes. That is horrifying! I would never eat a horse (or a cow, or a lamb, or a pig, or...anything like that!) How many other people is this horrible survey doing that to? And it won't let me change it now!
