The General allowed these things to take place in front of a civilian and that is a breach of the officer's duty.
Certainly he is correct and he has every right to air his grievances within the confines of the military. However, we have a civilian leadership of our military and it is clear that he must publicly support the leadership no matter how incompetent - unless he is givin an illegal order.
I feel for him but he needs to be replaced.
The president may be stupid to let him resign from the Military but it is obvious that he does not respect the morons in elected and appointed positions so he may be happy to depart and let them deal with their own mess.
