Morocco Bama I guess your train of thought was off. You again have shown your ignorance.

  • Morocco Bama - 14 years ago

Thanks "WTF" for proving my point about the Arizona legislation. You are correct, it is dripping with racism and very ignorant. I sure hope none of the above candidates support such a draconian measure. I forgive a literalist like you for not understanding satire. You can't help it. It was the way you were raised and educated, or should I say miseducated. You should know better about using such foul language online though, especially in a forum such as this. Seriously, how unprofessional is it to use "WTF" when responding online? Very unprofessional and quite revealing. No more potty mouth, please. This is not the venue for such trash talk.

Now, about Hitler being a Socialist or the Nazi party being Socialist. Complete nonsense. Historically inaccurate. Pure propaganda.

    http://www.huppi.com/kangaroo/L-hitler.htm

********Many conservatives accuse Hitler of being a leftist, on the grounds that his party was named "National Socialist." But socialism requires worker ownership and control of the means of production. In Nazi Germany, private capitalist individuals owned the means of production, and they in turn were frequently controlled by the Nazi party and state. True socialism does not advocate such economic dictatorship -- it can only be democratic. Hitler's other political beliefs place him almost always on the far right. He advocated racism over racial tolerance, eugenics over freedom of reproduction, merit over equality, competition over cooperation, power politics and militarism over pacifism, dictatorship over democracy, capitalism over Marxism, realism over idealism, nationalism over internationalism, exclusiveness over inclusiveness, common sense over theory or science, pragmatism over principle, and even held friendly relations with the Church, even though he was an atheist.*******

You have to shut off Glenn Beck and Rush Limbaugh. They are making fools of you, and I think that's their purpose. They've been planted in those positions by the Socialist devils to make the sheep look silly. It's masterful, you must admit. They have you spreading their illogic as though it's Gospel. Please, for the sake of your children, for all of humanity, grow a brain and think critically for yourselves. Don't let them do your thinking for you. Too much is riding on it.

What in the world do ethics have to do with an online straw poll vote count and who the heck is Beth Martinez? Last time I checked there was no Martinez on the ticket so I hope you aren't attacking people because of who they are choosing to vote for??? Also, satire or not, you comment was dripping with racism and very ignorant. You should just stop talking Morocco because you are losing credibility by the second......

  • Morocco Bama - 14 years ago

Wow, Dudick's vote count jumped approximately 200 in the span of 30 minutes. How's that for ethics. Reminds me of the 2000 Election.

Warning: The following paragraph is satire for the thick headed in the audience.

So, let me ask. Will Beth Martinez be so kind as to furnish us with her proof of citizenship? She looks Mexican to me and maybe she's illegal. We must be thorough about these things, so no hard feelings, but Beth, please prove you're legal.

Also, can Dudick prove that he prevented builders from using illegal labor when they built on his developed lots before his company went under? If he didn't, that would be rather hypocritical for someone who feels so passionately about breaking the law, and all.

Where in the Constitution does it prohibit a woman from having an abortion?

Where in the Constitution does it prohibit the use of drugs?

Couldn't agree more about that Byrd character. He was a scumbag Klansman, and it's a disgrace that he held a Senate seat at all, let alone for as long he had. Byrd was a conservative Southern Democrat relic....one that never made the switch to the Republican Party. I did like his stand against the Iraq War, though. I'm still scratching my head over that enigma, but I can't disagree with his stance on that issue.

Obama's coddling up to him is pure politics. Obama would say that Byrd was repentant for his Klan membership, and that he has harshly renounced the Klan and its ways and atoned for his sins with a life of public serice. All political bullshit, of course, and a deceit.

I don't like Obama, I didn't vote for him, but my criticism of him is far different than your deluded criticism of him. He's a Corporatist Stooge, just as Bush was. They are both bought and paid for whores...puppets doing the bidding of the Plutocracy. Do you really think the most powerful interest in the world, to include Wall Street, Big Oil and the entire Military Industrial Complex would allow a no-name, Communist black man named Barrack Hussein Obama rise to power and threaten their thoroughly vested and protected interests? Are you that naive? Obama was groomed for this position long ago for this very point on time. He's there to protect the interests of the Oligarchs, and a look at his Campaign contributors bears that out.

Obama's no Socialist. If he was, he would have given Single Payer a voice in the healthcare debate. He didn't. He didn't even invite the Single Payer advocates to the table, and let's face it, Single Payer, whilst not entirely Socialist, was as close to a Socialist solution as was possible, and he eschewed it from the very beginning. Why? Because he represents his largest contributors....Wall Street, the Insurance Companies and Big Oil as is witnessed with his hands off approach to BP.

Corporatism is the enemy. Corporatism is Totalitarianism in its purest form. Corporatism has taken over the Government so that we now have Fascism as is witnessed by BP using the Coast Guard to crack down on 2nd Amendment rights for individuals attempting to report on the spill. Anyone who has worked for Corporations knows of what I speak. It is a Stalin wet dream....it would make Stalin blush in its magnificent methods of tyrannical oppression and its complete and utter destruction of this planet.

    Conservatives freed the slaves.

That's a real hoot, that one. What complete and ignorant rubbish. The Conservatives of that day were the Southern Democrats, the Slave Owners who wanted to fight to the death to continue, in their sadistic minds, their God-Given right to hold men in bondage. That same culture remained Southern Democrat until LBJ sold them out with his Civil Rights legislation and then they flocked en masse to the ranks of, by that time, the Fascist Republican Party. The Republicans of that day (the slave days), to whom you bear no resemblance, were much more Progressive in their actions and their thinking, hence their appeasement of Abolitionist sentiment. However, the Republicans of that day were pragmatists, overall, and quite soft on the issue of slavery as any Abolitionist worth his salt would have told you. Freeing the slaves was never the intention of the Civil War, even though it was one of the outcomes. Many Republicans believed that Blacks should be recolonized to Africa, and in fact, Lincoln himself was a devout racist as witnessed by the following comment:

I will say, then, that I am not, nor ever have been, in favor of bringing about in any way the social and political equality of the white and black races; that I am not, nor ever have been, in favor of making voters or jurors of negroes, nor qualifying them to hold office, nor to intermarry with white people...

And inasmuch as they cannot so live, while they do remain together
there must be the position of superior and inferior, and I as much as any other man am in favor of having the superior position assigned to the white race.

    -Abraham Lincoln, 1858

    http://ushistorysite.blogspot.com/2006/11/lincoln-speaks-against-blacks.html

So, you see, the Conservatives today, are the same as the Conservatives of yesteryear....the same ones that held men in bondage and believed they were superior because of the color of their skin. Such is the problem when you so ardently categorize your zealous ideology.

  • Freedom - 14 years ago

    Morocco Bama,

Apparently YOUR PRESIDENT supports the Klan as he stood at the funeral of Robert Byrd and praised him and talked of his close friendship with the ex-Klan leader.

Conservatives freed the slaves. Liberals and Socialists have killed millions n the name of their movements: Stalin, Lenin, Hitler (he was a left wing Socialist), Mao, Pol Pot... Enjoy your Socialism because it is here and unless we stand up and fight the future of our children and grandchildren is doomed.

  • Morocco Bama - 14 years ago

David Scott is a conservative Democrat. He votes right down the line with the Obama Administration, and the Obama Adminisitration is right of center. For example, the recent healthcare legislation. It was written and crafted by the Insurance companies. When it passed, Insurance Providers' stock values rose. Why would that be? Because the legislation they crafted for the Obama Administration will provide them with an additional 40 to 50 million paying customers as mandated by law and there is no check in place to curb skyrocketing premiums. A true left-leaning Congressman would never have voted for the recent legislation because it wasn't single payer....and single payer is the best solution to the healthcare mess we're in.

It looks like Honeycupp pulled this meaningless Straw Poll out at the last minute. Gee, how did that happen? Not that Dudick didn't game the system, either, or Crane.

Someone said earlier, and I concur, black is going to vote black and white is going to vote white in this district. And, most blacks are going to vote Scott. The only way Scott would be defeated would be for someone left of Scott to run....and the Dems are to smart to let that happen.

That being said, Dudick and Crane are running in the wrong district, or they need some shoe polish. Maybe they should run in one of the Klan districts if they want to have any chance of winning.

In all fairness, it doesn't matter who wins....Dem, Repub....hell, an Eggplant could win and have the same effect...which is to say, no effect. The Founding Oligarchs created the House of Representatives to give the Unwashed Masses the illusion of a Democracy. The Senate gets the final say, and the Plutocracy that runs this country selects those candidates....not you the people. Combine the Senate with the President's veto, and a firmly Corporatist Supreme Court and the Ring of Fire is complete.

A question for the devout Constitutionalists. Where in the Constitution does it mandate a standing army? My reading reveals quite the opposite, but I don't hear any of you talking about massive military cuts. Close to 60% of every Federal Income Tax (FIT) dollar collected goes to funding the Military Industrial Complex. The U.S. Military Industrial Complex is the largest Socialist Program the world has ever witnessed....one that metes out Death and Destruction rather than Health and Education, and yet not a peep out of you so-called Constitutionalists. Velly intelesting.

    Saleh,

As if we don't have a Congressman with enough ethics issues now you want Republicans to go vote for Mike Murphy??? You should keep your posts on the Democratic ticket.

Mike Murphy is the ex-campaign manager for Honeycutt. He helped her raise all that money and spend it on who knows what to get beat by 38%. He doesn't know if he is a Republican or a Democrat. How can we expect him to go to Washington and stand for anything? Once again, pretty scary the ridiculous thought process that people use to elect our current representatives. What happened to voting for the best candidate and fighting for that candidate, not because of race, sex... but because they stand for something and they will fight for us.

May God help this country and get Dudek through this primary. Ultimately, it will come down to informing the voters of the 13th that there is a real person running, not just a marketing campaign.

Mostly good points all around, even though there's a lot of disagreement.

    My take:

I liked Honeycutt as a person and far better than David Scott. She seemed much more on the ball during her last campaign: knowledgeable, focused - but none of that mattered. In 2006, we weren't paying close enough attention. In 2008, we were vastly outnumbered by people who'd seldom or never before voted who turned out to "make history," but didn't know or care enough about their Congressman to do anything other than vote straight D. I believe we have some great candidates this time around, and though some of them may have fared better against Scott in '06 and '08, I don't believe any of them would have defeated him.

Honeycutt, meanwhile, becomes less focused and less intelligent each time I hear her speak. The criticism of her so-called 'Urban Initiative' is valid. Go to her web site and read it. To compare and contrast Honeycutt now vs. previous elections, go to Dudek's YouTube channel and find the video of her that contains footage from both campaigns. I'm not sure what happened, but I could no longer in good conscience support this woman. She'd be better than David Scott, but that's about it.

We *are* a heavily Democrat district, and it *does* take a lot for people to cross party lines at the polls. I believe asking them to cross party AND racial lines will be too much for some people.

I personally don't care about race, and will do whatever I can to stand in the way of another term for David Scott. While I cannot support Mr. Frisbee, there is another good candidate running on the D side that I have already voted for. I did this because I felt any of those likely to earn the R nomination would be acceptable, even if not my first choice, but more importantly because voting D in the primary is our first opportunity to take out Scott. I can give up my favorite choice in support of what I feel to be a higher purpose.

If you insist on clinging to your GOP ballot, please don't pledge blind allegiance to a candidate and refuse to do your homework from then on. Just about every candidate has tax liens or bankruptcy filings - will you let that stop you? Or do you realize what a challenging environment this is and look instead for patterns of mismanagement? Crane is not a moderate - whoever said that needs to do some more research on him. Even if race does not matter to you, think about the district as a whole. Will black voters vote for a white person? Will they vote for an R at all? If the R candidate is black, will it matter to white independents? We have to think not only about principles, but about how we can achieve our shared goal - get rid of David Scott - despite our divergent opinions. We may have to compromise…or fail.

Should we succeed in retiring David Scott, we must remain engaged and, if our Congressman fails to meet our expectations, make sure he/she doesn't get another term.

  • Freedom - 14 years ago

    CC,
What a ridiculous racist comment. So you are voting for a person because of their color and not what they stand for. People like you are what is wrong with this country. You vote for color and not principle. Honeycutt and Parchment stand for nothing and will fall for everything. Dudek fights and that's why he will win. Honeycutt has lost the last 2 elections by 38 points. Wake up 13th district and fight for Dudek!

  • concernedcitizen - 14 years ago

These polls aren't recognized by Political Scientist or pollsters anywhere, that's a fact. And blacks won't vote for a WHITE Republican that's also a fact. So Dudek has no chance beating David Scott, black people don't trust Republicans and there's no chance they'll vote for Hank Dudek. This race is going to come down to Parchment and Honeycutt and that's a fact.

  • Frisbee2010 - 14 years ago

lemony fresh, you are wrong in this - this district is conservative. However, this district is comprised of 70% Democrats. The bulk of them are Conservative Democrats, but they are unwilling to cross party lines to get rid of Scott.

For any Republican to win the district in November, they woud have to get every republican and Independent vote, as well as at least 30-33% of the Democratic vote.

There is a Conservative running in the Democratic primary - and that's me. I've been a Conservative Constitutionist for a decade. Have been a Constitutional activist during that time.

July 20th, we have a chance to toss David Scott out, and a vote for me in the primaries ensures that Scott doesn't even get to the November ballot.

This is a unique opportunity. If Scott wins the Primary - I'll guarantee that the numbers will be in his favor in November, he'll win with at least 55% of the vote, regardless who the GOP candidate is.

    It's simple mathematics people.

  • bob - 14 years ago

Lemony - I'm not sure what 'vote a comment' means, but GA 13 absolutely can be won with a conservative message. This election will be won by Hank if conservatives turn out and turn out in a big way - as if the future of our Republic depends on it.

The only way GA 13 goes Republican is if we run a strong conservative candidate that can rally the base and get them out to vote. A lukewarm 'moderate' like Honeycutt or Crane will inspire no one and lead us to another overwhelming defeat.

Georgia can and will send 12 Republicans to Congress in 2010!

  • Lemony Fresh - 14 years ago

So Hank is sending his supporters to vote a comment.
Remember one thing. Hank can't beat David Scott.

Ga-13 is not a conservative district.
Running as one won't help in November.
A vote for Hank now is a vote for Scott.

  • Paula - 14 years ago

Looks like only men are commenting so thought I'd jump into the pool and add a comment for the girls.
Honeycutt is a nice person but don't you think we need someone in Washington with a not so nice attitude? Forget playing nice. That hasn't gotten us anywhere. David Scott isn't nice! He's mean and nasty. We need someone who can stand up to him in a debate and then stand up for themselves (us) when they get elected. Those a$$es in congress would walk all over Honeycutt! What good is that?

  • Mike - 14 years ago

I think that the people voting for Honeycutt are the Dumbocrats looking for another easy victory. I'm voting for a conservative this year. I'm voting for Dudek.

  • ted - 14 years ago

I am puzzled as to why anyone who is an informed voter would vote for HoneyCutt. If you have been to the debates or visited her web site, you would see that she says much about nothing. Listening to her speeches and debates I am not even sure she is knowledgable on current issues. I first started considering candidates at the end of May.I went into this with one particular candidate in mind, but quickly changed my mind after seeing the debates and visiting their web sites. After much consideration, I am voting for Hank Dudack. For the sake of our country I would plead with all voters to look at all the candidates and carefully consider the best for our country and the 13th district. If you do this you won't vote for Deborah HoneyCutt,You'll vote for Hank Dudack.

  • Sean - 14 years ago

Hank Dudek is the clear choice here. I agree with "Brandon" Honeycutt is not in touch with what the voters need, and blunders through every question she is asked.
    JUST VOTE FOR HANK!

  • Brandon - 14 years ago

Honeycutt? What are you people smoking? She's for amnesty for illegals! Good grief, you think they're sucking us dry now? Just wait until they get amnesty! BTW WTH is that stupid 'urban initiative' she keeps talking about but can't seem to explain? Come on, people! She's a freakin' RINO! More of the same, more of the same, more of the same... Just say NO to more of the same!!!!

  • Jarred Krane - 14 years ago

Just invite them somewhere she is speaking that will do it! If that does not work yup they are dumb dumb if they vote for her.

  • Freddie - 14 years ago

If you're voting for honeycutt or any other candidate besides Hank Dudek, either you're not paying attention or you don't give a damn. Ask yourself why you're voting for honeycutt...because she's a doctor?? Please...get informed people...wake up and vote for DUDEK!!

  • Shawn - 14 years ago

Wow Deborah Honeycutt are you people crazy this women has ran and lost bye double figures three or more times wake up people.
