Do you feel your Primary Care Physician (PCP) is knowledgeable about spinal cord injury?

It took over 8 years to find a diagnosis (C4-T1 tumors). By the time the medical folks figured out what was wrong with me, my PCP took charge and became very proactive in my care. She worked with every one of my referrals, and has followed-up on my rehab (despite the arrogance of the rehab physician). No one was to blame for the late diagnosis-- crap happens. My PCP continues to be my strongest supporter and advocate, during my struggles with treatments, surgeries, social services, and rehab. She ensures that I receive the necessary care for my spinal cord injury, and always makes the effort to consult with specialists when she doesn't have an immediate answer.
