What approach should I take teaching at the Danville Area Yoga Retreat?

Wow 'em. Beginners don't usually attend retreats, and the ones who are there will find a way to keep up.

Keep it simple. Advanced students already know the challenging versions of the pose and can take it there if they choose.

Aim for the middle ground. Focus on not boring people, but don't worry about rocking their world. Maybe they want a standard class.

How about asking for a quick show of hands just before you begin the class for how many students consider themselves beginners, intermediates, advanced? Then give your "only do what feels right" statement. Maybe you can do most of the poses in the beginner/intermediate range but then say or show: "If you feel you can push it a little further, do THIS". I don't really know if this would work, because I don't know yoga poses that well so my free advice may be worth what it cost you!!! I'm sure you will wow them at the retreat, Jamie! love Aunt Chris
